Departing early in the morning, we'll drive through the fertile plain of Beotia, crossing the towns of Thebes, Levadia and Arachova arrive in Delphi, the center of the Ancient World. On the slopes of Mount Parnassus, in a landscape of unparalleled beauty and majesty, lie the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios. Visit the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo and the Museum containing such masterpieces of Ancient Greek sculpture as the bronze Charioteer. The rest of the afternoon is free for your own explorations. Dinner and overnight in Delphi is included. The following morning, you will be free to continue to explore the site and its magnificent surroundings, with return to Athens in late afternoon.
